Advocate trainee, member of the Warsaw Bar Association. Graduate of the College of Interdisciplinary Individual Studies in Humanities and Social Sciences at the University of Warsaw, where she studied at the Faculty of Law and Administration and the Faculty of Psychology. During one-year stay at the Complutense University of Madrid, Monika completed a program in Gender Studies related to combating gender-based violence. As part of her psychology studies, she completed a specialization in psychotherapy.

Previously a lawyer at the Helsinki Foundation for Human Rights in the Migration Department, where she was responsible for cases concerning refugees who have sufferd persecutions based on sexual orientation, gender, or religion. She participated in cases before the European Court of Human Rights.

She is fluent in English.
