Transgender persons cases
We provide representation for transgender persons in judicial proceedings concerning the rectification of birth records. We also provide legal assistance in proceedings related to the amendment of the legal gender designation in a birth certificate based on a foreign document.
We have experience in representing transgender persons who are nationals of non-EU countries and seek recognition of their gender in Poland based on a judgment of a foreign court or a decision of another competent authority. We further provide legal advice in matters concerning the change of a transgender person’s given name and surname.
